AGM Abogados has hired Vanesa Alarcón Caparrós as new Partner in the new Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) area of the firm.
Vanesa, a lawyer with a degree from Barcelona Autónoma University (UAB) and a Master’s Degree in Technology and Intellectual Property Law from ESADE, has 20 years of experience in the field of technology and intellectual property. Her solid academic background and extensive professional career make her a recognised expert in her field.
Throughout her career, Vanesa has worked for several prestigious consultancies and law firms. She founded her firm specialising in Technology and Intellectual Property in digital environments, leading it for more than a decade. Subsequently, she decided to join larger international firms such as Fieldfisher Jausàs or Ecija, where she held the position of TMT Partner. Her experience in these firms has allowed her to broaden her international perspective and consolidate her leadership in the sector.
Vanesa collaborates with several universities, such as the Universidad Europea, ISDE, the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS) or the Universidad Carlos III, giving classes related to her speciality. He also participates in the Master’s Degree in the Information Society of the Barcelona Bar Association, where she is a member of the Technology section. Previously, she was also a member of the Intellectual Property Section. Vanesa is also associated with organisations such as ENATIC, DENAE and the IAPP, and actively collaborates with the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia.
She is passionate about advising customers who apply innovative technologies such as AI, Big Data, Blockchain, NFTs and quantum computing, as well as any company that needs to address digital challenges.
Vanessa joins the office, inaugurating the new TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) area and, at the same time, the Intellectual Property (IP) area, leveraging her background. In an increasingly digitized and connected world, the effective protection and management of technology, the information that flows through it, and intellectual property are essential for business success. For this reason, AGM is launching this department, which will offer specialised advice on a wide range of issues related to TMT and IP. This initiative will help maintain the standard of quality in the services that have always distinguished us, ensuring that our clients receive the necessary support to face the challenges of today’s digital environment.
