On October 27th, 2023, our Tax Partner, Leonardo Cárdenas Armesto, won the 2023 prize for associative collaboration awarded annually by the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF) to the tax advisor of the year, in recognition of his profile and track record at the association.
Leonardo Cárdenas has been a member of AEDAF since 1999, during which time he has held several senior positions at the association such as coordinator of the Family Business Section between 2013 and 2019 and member of AEDAF’s Institutional Advisory Board (CAI) between 2016 and 2019, delivering courses and conferences throughout Spain and co-authoring several books on family businesses published by the association itself.
In the words of Josep Alemany, the Catalan branch’s delegate, Cárdenas “has been and continues to be a colleague directly involved in the Catalan branch’s activities, skilfully managing the family business group. It is worth highlighting his tenacious will to manage and participate in conferences and in the creation of new training formats such as the family business newsletter that was launched in 2022. His participation in the Tax Tuesdays is very intense and positive, generating debate and criteria among the members.”
Stella Raventós Calvo, President of AEDAF, gave the award to Leonardo, in recognition of his commitment and dedication to the association:
“I am very happy and grateful for the recognition given by AEDAF and my colleagues to the work I have carried out over the years. The Association represents the professionalism and rigour required to defend taxpayers’ rights regarding all the citizens’ obligation and duty to pay taxes.”
