Guillermo Bayas, Partner of the Litigation Department and Head of International Development at AGM Abogados, has been appointed co-Vice President of the Litigation Commission of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers), at the Annual Congress held in Singapore between 22 and 26 August. Guillermo, who until now was editor of the AIJA newsletter, attended the congress on behalf of AGM.

AIJA is the only global association of lawyers dedicated to professionals under the age of 45 and has more than 4,000 members from 90 countries. The association carries out its activities through 20 Scientific Commissions, of which the Litigation Commission is the second largest in terms of membership.

The Litigation Commission is responsible for promoting and organising events in the area of commercial litigation, such as the annual litigation conference or specific seminars in this area, and the litigation sessions that take place at AIJA’s Annual Congress. This work is carried out by its President and two Vice-Presidents. It is also the main contact point for AIJA members involved in this area of law.

Guillermo takes on this new challenge with enthusiasm and is confident that this appointment will allow AGM to increase its visibility in AIJA and contribute to the firm’s internationalisation efforts.
