From 21st to 23rd October, a representation of AGM Abogados attended the annual congress of Lawrope, held on this occasion in Andorra and hosted by the Andorran firm Gonzalez Advocats.
Lawrope is an international association of law firms from all over the world. With more than 30 years of history, it is characterised by its independence and the quality of its services. The network of lawyers is present in Europe, Latin America and the United States. Lawrope members meet every year for an annual meeting where they can share ideas and knowledge and strengthen ties. Last year it was not possible to organise the congress due to the health situation resulting from Covid19, but this year it was possible, while of course respecting all security measures.
AGM Abogados was represented this year by Francisco Lacasa, Partner of the M&A Law Department, Julio Rocafull, Partner of the Commercial Law Department, Mª Eugenia Blasco, Partner of the Immigration Law Department, Quim Alastuey, Partner of the Tax and Accounting Department and Jordi Rovira, Partner of the Tax Law Department and CEO of AGM Abogados.
AGM is especially grateful for the work carried out by the Andorran firm Gonzalez Advocats and its Partner Raül González in the organisation of the event, the theme of which was “The legal challenges of the Andorran company“. The event was attended by numerous high-level Andorran authorities and various speakers, including the intervention of Partner Quim Alastuey, who spoke on e-commerce and international taxation system.
During the congress, the organisation’s next steps were also discussed by its president, Ricardo Gonçalves, Partner at Ricardo Gonçalves Advogados, who held the presidency since last year.
