A panel discussion took place16 June 2016 at the Résidence Palace, Salle Maelbeek.

The objectives of this session were to give an overview of the conclusions from key European initiatives in the field of evaluation of energy efficiency policies, and from the In-Depth Energy Efficiency Reviews done for the Energy Charter and to discuss what has been achieved in terms of monitoring & evaluation practices in European and Central Asian countries, and what could be further improved in order to support a stronger development of energy efficiency policies and markets.

Radoš HORÁČEK, Team Leader, General Energy Efficiency Team at the European Commission introduced the session. The session was co-chaired and moderated by Steivan Defilla (Director of the Energy Charter Secretariat) and Jean-Sébastien Broc (co-chair of IEPPEC 2016, International Energy Policy & Programme Evaluation Conference).
